It is with great pleasure that I introduce our foundation mares. They have all been chosen for their excellent temperament and ridability, thus ensuring sane and trainable offspring. We aim to breed quality over quantity. At times we may offer our mares to be bred to one of our stallions to approved clients.

A truly lovely mare who is very true to type. We are very proud to have her. Although small for the breed at 15.2 she is all heart and a wonderful mother. She has wonderful conformation, a superb nature and three good paces which she passes on to her foals. Libelle is also the dam of La Croix, Lysistrata, Libretto and Ludwig. She was broken into harness as a 11 year old, it was quite a task to find ANYONE who would give it a go as it apparently is quite difficult to break an older horse in to harness, however the whole process took 2 weeks and on completion of the job I was told she had been easier to break in than the SB they nornaly have there, so quite a compliment I think and shows her true nature, laid back and easy going which is so typical of the Trakehner breed.

At close to 16.3 she is the largest mare in the herd. She scored a 9 for conformation and I think most breeders would be very pleased to have a mare like her in the paddock. In the time we have owned her she has come into her own and has settled down wonderfully, being very relaxed to handle. She has three fantastic paces, and loves to show them off! Marcella to date has produced Maranello, Making Music both by Laharrah and is in foal to Kasimir (2007) via frozen semen her foal is due in December.

Shirley P is the dam of Laharrah, Candries and Savannah. She is a very laid back mare with a wonderful dispostion and good conformation. She is a great broodmare and produces wonderful offspring.
Shirley P is 15.3hh and has a trot like no other I have seen. She passes this great movment on to her foals.

Chevie (as she is know at home) is by Waikiki Star, who is known for breeding good jumpers and show hacks. She is 15.3hh and a dark dapple bay of solid build with a extremely quiet nature. Her first foal Chantal is now rising three, a very correct and elegant filly. Chevie is expecting a foal to Candries in 2007.

Bella is a stunning 16.1 hand mare with a very kind nature, she will be put in foal to La Croix in 2007 and we will be eagerly awaiting her foal in 2008. At classification the Classifiers were very impressed with this mares natural ability and exceptional conformation.

I was lucky enough to be able to aquire Satin Sheen (Sandy) a older mare but with a very good performance record having been competed in her day at open medium level, she was spotted by the late Mel van Brugge who had approached her owner after he judged her at a dressage day, he bought her on the spot for his broodmare band to breed dressage horses from and it is easy to see why, even at the age of 21 she shows very good elastic movement and ground covering strides, she too will be bred to La Croix for a repeat breeding her first foal by his scored an 8 at classification and impressed the judges with his balanced movement and very good temperament.
